Does a company that prides itself on fun, flexibility, innovation and integrity, and believes your contributions matter, feel like “home” to you? Does a rigorous interview process that not only takes into account the fit of your technical skills and experience, but also seriously measures how your values sync with ours in solving a meaningful real-world problem sound like the start of something interesting? Does a five-year young start-up company with a global reach, that currently offers opportunity and growth to over 65 staff worldwide, suggest exciting and progressive prospects for your future? If a resounding YES is the answer to all these questions, then GenoLogics wants to hear from you!
As a direct result of our hard work and recent successes we are looking to expand our Product Management team located in Victoria, BC.The “right” person to add value and balance to our eclectic group would be a recent university graduate (with a BA in Computer Science, Business Analysis, biochemistry or a related discipline), with a couple years of work experience. Your top grades would not necessarily be the result of simply being the smartest, but because you work hard and appreciate what needs to be done.
You intuitively know where your audience is going before they do. You are the go-to person that friends and family come to without fail for technical expertise and explanations. Not only because you will undoubtedly have the answers, but more importantly because you can explain complex technical concepts to anyone, regardless of expertise, using simple illustrations and examples. Not simply a “techy”, although admittedly proud to be one, you enjoy building relationships and enabling others to succeed. Getting to the heart of a problem and finding a viable solution specific to a situation is second-nature. The description of perfectionist is the highest of compliments – although you do understand and appreciate the ability to be flexible if required. You are comfortable presenting in front of a group on a white board and would happily write a 12-page discussion paper, but understand that the true challenge is to condense all your thoughts into a mere 6 pages.
With an attractive total compensation package that includes stock options, GenoLogics isn’t just a job – it’s an experience. If you are ready for it, and have the creativity, energy and savvy that will enable you to contribute to the continued success of our team, please email your resume and cover letter (one-page Word or pdf attachment) to careers@genologics.com.
