GenoLogics’ strong management team and board of directors are skilled in leading technology companies, building a global market presence and developing strategic partnerships. The team has been selected to enable GenoLogics to accelerate its growth.

Michael Ball, CEO

Michael has served as CEO at GenoLogics since the Company’s commercial launch of its LIMS solution in 2004. Michael has been instrumental to the success of GenoLogics, securing significant venture capital and building strategic relationships with key partners and customers in the life sciences industry. He brings 25 years of international experience in sales, marketing, and business development with technology companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 firms. Michael spent five years in executive management with Creo Products (acquired by Kodak) as VP Business Development and VP European Sales and Service. During his time at Creo, the business grew from $70 million to $700 million in revenues and it conducted a highly successful IPO. Previously, he spent seven years at Digital Equipment Corp. (now part of HP) in sales and marketing. Michael serves on the Board of the Canary Foundation, the only non-profit organization in the United States that is devoted exclusively to the early detection of cancer.

Greg Clark, VP, Finance and Operations

Greg joins GenoLogics from SafeHarbor Knowledge Solutions, where he most recently held the position of president and CEO. Greg brings 20 years of experience primarily in corporate finance and has held executive positions for the last seven years. Greg is a high-caliber change agent, and he brings to the GenoLogics executive team experience in corporate finance, organizational development, strategic planning, thought leadership, and customer relationship building primarily in the high-tech and telecom industries. He has worked in both start-up and stable business environments, and excels in business management with a focus on pricing structure, financial analysis, P&L management, due diligence, deal negotiation, executive reporting, and competitive analysis. Most recently, as CEO of SafeHarbor, Greg oversaw all strategic and tactical aspects of this start-up company, and was in charge of all corporate finance and administration infrastructure. Greg has already made a significant contribution at GenoLogics with his due diligence and financial modeling efforts, during the recent round of strategic funding. Greg holds a Business Administration degree from Arizona State University and a Masters in Finance from Seattle University.

Bruce Pharr, VP, Products and Marketing

Over the past 25 years, Bruce has helped increase the value of a half-dozen companies by developing and executing innovative product and go-to-market strategies, generating demand, building brand equity, establishing thought leadership and helping execute successful M&A strategies.  Most recently, he served as VP, Marketing at Symyx Technologies where he helped transform the company from chemical research to life science software, position it as a thought-leader in the emerging, fast-growing electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) market and facilitate a merger with Accelrys.  He has led product and corporate marketing operations at several public and private companies, and was founder and managing director of a life sciences and technology marketing consulting firm for over a decade.  Bruce holds a BS in economics and has completed executive programs in strategic marketing management and technology marketing strategy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Duncan Selwood, Director, North American Sales

Duncan Selwood has over 15 years experience selling and supporting enterprise software solutions in the life science, telecom, and power management and distribution sectors. Duncan has extensive sales experience and a proven track record of success in providing consultative proactive solutions to clients. An experienced leader, Duncan has provided leadership to multiple business functions including operations, customer support and sales. Prior to joining Genologics, Duncan worked for several technology companies including Power Measurement (now Schneider Electric) and Voice Mobility. Previous to this Duncan worked as a business consultant.  Duncan brings strong business development, enterprise solution sales and team leadership experience to his role as Director, North American Sales.
