Join us for this webinar in which the European team describes Clarity LIMS and demonstrates how it can scale to fit your lab.
Please provide the following for access to content in our resource library
Laboratory information management plays an increasingly important role as we continue to introduce new methods for interrogating the genome. The industry-leading laboratory information management system, Clarity LIMS, provides sample-to-answer tracking and enables labs to optimize their operations to help reduce costs, improve accuracy, and maintain rigorous quality. On-premise or cloud-based editions of Clarity LIMS provide co-developed interoperability and integrations with Illumina sequencing technologies. Join us for this concise webinar in which we introduce Clarity LIMS, share a customer story, and describe how it can scale to fit your lab.
Questions asked during the webinar, along with their answers:
Q: Where are the data from Clarity LIMS stored?
A: Clarity LIMS uses an SQL database, either PostgreSQL or Oracle, to store the information about the projects and samples being processed. Customers can use our Data Model information to access the database directly.
Q: Is the management of de-multiplexed data possible?
A: Clarity LIMS can be used to trigger BCL conversion and Demultiplexing on raw sequencing data. The results from the process can be brought back into the LIMS and associated back to the relevant library and therefore submitted sample.
Q: Does Clarity LIMS provide a customer interface for checking the status of submitted samples?
A: Clarity LIMS comes with a collaborations interface, LabLink, as standard. This web interface can be shared with your collaborators and it allows them to submit samples, track sample progress and download those files that your lab would like to share back to them. Users of the collaborations interface can only see projects and samples that they have been given permission to see thus ensuring that data security is maintained. A samples progress is tracked using a visible field that is updated as samples reach key milestones in the workflow. These milestones can be set by your facility.
Q: Can Clarity LIMS interface with enterprise resource planning systems?
A: Integration with third party softwares and systems can be acheived using our REST API. Further information on this can be found here.
Q:Can you explain how to create a custom workflow?
A: Users with administrator permissions can easily create new protocols and workflows using the point and click functionality of the user interface. No programming knowledge is required for this. Learn more about the configurability of Clarity LIMS here .
Q: How many laboratory staff can login to the system at the same time?
A: Each user of the LIMS has their own login so that all work carried out by them can be tracked. We have not experienced any issues with the number of people accessing the LIMS at the same time.
Q: Are the reports that come with Clarity LIMS as part of the reporting module easy to adapt?
A: The out of box reports that come with the Clarity LIMS reporting module are editable so that different filtering options and display options can be used. For information on how reports can be modified please see the Tableau website.
Q: Is it possible to test the software with some, preferably our own, data in it to test the reporting system?
A: It is not possible to have access to a trial version of our reporting module. If this changes after release we will let you know.
